VIRGINIA BEACH, VIRGINIA:  Michael Divaris, president of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. announced the signing of three leases with JenCare Neighborhood Medical Centers, for a total of 22,844 square feet of office space and the purchase of two buildings, one in Norfolk and one in Richmond. The first lease was for 10,000 square feet of medical office space in NewMarket Shopping Center located at 5015 West Mercury Boulevard in Newport News.  A second lease was signed for 5,700 square feet of space located at 3960 Turnpike Road in Portsmouth.  The building that was purchased in Norfolk is a 16,000-square-foot, freestanding building located at 549 East Brambleton Avenue.  In the Richmond metropolitan area, the first location to open will be for 7,144 square feet in the Glen Lea Shopping Center at 3808 Mechanicsville Turnpike at the intersection with Laburnum Avenue.  The purchased property in Richmond was  the former Harper’s Hardware Store, a 11,867-square- foot freestanding building located at 1712 East Broad Street. 

Each JenCare location will be operated as all-new, state-of-the-art medical centers focused on senior preventative care and quality outcomes.  JenCare provides personalized care through board certified Internal Medicine doctors and maintaining small physician-to-patient ratios. Krista Costa and Levi Thomson of the Virginia Beach headquarters office of Divaris Real Estate, Inc. represented the tenant in the negotiations for the two leases and one sale transaction in Hampton Roads.  The two Richmond deals were handled on behalf of the tenant by Brett McNamee and Debbie Wake, both senior vice presidents of DRE’s Richmond office.
